EVENTS
Building Capacity for Skills and Services
Each year the BCSI curates a series of service-oriented events to highlight established and emerging enterprises within the service industry, as well as bring to the local doorstep industry trends and standard to drive services forward in Barbados.
Have a look at our key events below.
Services Weekend Barbados
In an effort to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for the local service industry, the BCSI developed Services Weekend Barbados (SWB) to place a national focus on the industry. The first SWB was hosted in 2017 and was a three-day event under the theme ‘ICT in 21st Century Barbados’.
SWB is focused on the following:
- Highlighting various services sectors and stakeholders
- Providing networking and profiling opportunities for service providers and members of the BCSI.
- Initiating dialogue on topical issues affecting the sector.
- Creating an enabling environment for regional and international service providers, development partners, trading partners and policymakers to integrate the benefit of the local services economy.
